Black Leopard Photo Safari – Laikipia, Kenya
One of Africa’s Rarest Cats. One Unforgettable Experience.
Join us in search of one of the most mysterious and rarely seen animals in the wild — the melanistic black leopard. This unique photographic safari takes place in the remote Laikipia region of Kenya, one of the only places in Africa where sightings of black leopards have been reliably documented.
Whether you’re a passionate photographer or a wildlife enthusiast with a love for rare encounters, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to photograph a truly elusive cat. With specialized night drives and guidance from expert trackers and a professional photo guide, you’ll have the best possible chance to capture this striking predator after dark — when it’s most active. With intimate knowledge of the black leopard’s territory and the support of expert local guides, we offer a more focused and personal approach — giving you the best possible chance of meaningful sightings and high-quality photographic opportunities.
Laikipia also offers superb daytime wildlife viewing, featuring reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, striped hyenas, wild dogs, lions, elephants, hippos, and more — making this a richly rewarding all-round safari.
