Waterfall Safari (5 Nights)
The Waterfall Safari comprises three nights of bream and tigerfishing along the Upper Zambezi River before heading north to spend two nights fishing below the Sioma Falls in Barotseland.
Sioma Falls Mobile Camp is based at the foot of the second largest waterfall on the Zambezi River, in the newly established Ngonye Falls National Park in Western Zambia. The camp makes up the second leg of the incredible Royal River Safari which kicks off with a three night stay at the paradisal Mutemwa Lodge.
After three days of fishing along the Upper Zambezi at Mutemwa, guests fish by boat up towards the Sioma Falls with a short portage at the Kaale rapids. The journey promises outstanding Upper Zambezi tiger fishing in churning river water and an exhilarating extreme boating experience amongst the wild rapids of the Zambezi.
Camp accommodation consists of bow tents and scenery like no other. The freshwater fishery below the waterfalls offers a wide variety of fish such as trophy tigerfish, bream, nembwe, and humpback largemouth. A knowledgeable guide will accompany guests from the lodge to the camp and assist the guests with all their needs over the entire safari.
The Royal River Safari package includes the full five nights’ accommodation, access to your own assigned local guide, all meals and all fishing, which includes conventional fishing tackle and unlimited fuel. Fishing on this safari is done mainly using trolling lures, spinning, live bait and fly, making it the perfect choice for just about any fishing enthusiast.
